Making Simple Moments Sacred: Mindful Reflection And Ritual For Transformation
Autumn has moved in, bringing with it the end of harvest, cooler days and longer nights and the beginning of death and decay. This cyclical shift is an auspicious time for each of us to call on spirit to ask for clarity, guidance and direction in reconnecting with our deepest purpose.
The time is ripe to clear out the old, let go of what no longer serves you and explore the not yet known.
As we move into the darkest and final chapter of the calendar year, autumn beckons us to reflect on where we’ve been and where we are longing to go before moving into the soul work of winter. This time of year is an auspicious time to call on Spirit for clarity and connect with your deepest truth. These darker days of the year are thought by many Pagan cultures to be when the barrier between humans and otherworldly spirits breaks, making magic more readily available to access.
Through ritual and mindful reflection, you can connect with your deepest truth, clearing out that which is no longer serving you, and call on Spirit for clarity and inspiration for what is to come.
Ritual can be done for anything in any way so long as you bring in meaning and intention.
We often associate rituals with events like weddings, birth ceremonies and funerals. However, ritual can also be embedded into your daily routine through bringing the sacred into simple moments.
Now is a powerful time to perform ritual. Not just because of the transition into darker days and the upcoming thinning of the veil between worlds, but also because so much upheaval has occurred these last few years and massive change is afoot in society at large. Although change can elicit fears of the unknown, it also brings with it a chance to step boldly into the unknown and invoke transformation.
I ask you:
Is there something that you are trying to call in?
Is there something that you’re trying to let go of?
Is there something that you’re deeply grateful for and want to honor?
Is there something happening right now that you want to solidify in yourself?
I went live on the fall equinox—the day that balances out light and dark and marks the transition into the darker, more reflective time to come—to talk about ritual, ceremony and reflection during this auspicious time of year.
Check out a recording of the video here.
In even just a single breath, you can invoke ritual.
How will you utilize mindful reflection and ritual to create magic in your life?
With love and blessings,
Katie
